The course is a free elective course. It is also offered as programme course within the Master's Programme in Educational Sciences
Entry requirements
First-cycle qualification of at least 180 credits.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student is expected to be able to
- show familiarity with and explain the difference between a traditional (monocultural) and modern (multicultural) society
- master and apply the concepts of performativity, ethnicity, gender and identity in relation to general societal changes
- analyse adolescents'and young adult's statements in relation to the central concepts that the course includes

- Theories about and perspectives on adolescents and the young adult in a multicultural society
- Performativity, identity, gender and ethnicity in the everyday practices of the young
- Growing-up given globalisation and a multicultural society
