Entry requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Natural or Social Science and Introduction to Wind Power, 5 credits, or equivalent knowledge
Learning outcomes
After having passed the course the student should be able to:
- apply project management methodology and process to wind power projects
- design a project plan and schedule
- assess insurance and compensation requirements particular to wind power projects
- account for and evaluate contracts and regulations connected with wind power projects,
- perform and evaluate cost analysis of wind farm projects
Content
Focus on project management methodology and processes specific to the development of wind power projects. Project planning, project team organisation, negotiations and conflict resolutions, and international business communications are important parts of the course. Design of a project plan and project schedule to carry a project from inception to completion is handled.
Instruction
The course includes lectures, seminars, case studies and group work. Attendance to most scheduled events is compulsory.
Assessment
Seminars, workshops, assignments and a written examination, 5 credits.
