Entry requirements

120 credits including 30 credits in meteorology at Master's level. Admission requires a project plan accepted by the department.

Learning outcomes

On completion of the course, the student should be able to:

  • how to plan, perform and report a research- or developmental work in meteorology.

Content

Individual work where knowledge and abilities achieved in meteorology are applied and deepened. The subject of the work is chosen in consultation with the supervisor and the examiner. The work is done with guidance by the supervisor in close connection to ongoing research- or developmental projects at a University department, within a company or public authority.

Individual supervision.

Assessment

The project work shall be presented both orally and in a written report according to instructions.

If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
