Entry requirements
120 credits. Participation in Trends in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology 15 credits. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- show deep knowledge within a self-chosen part of applied biotechnology.
- be able to search, evaluate and compile scientific publications within a chosen research field.
- with correct language in writing present the scientific compilation.
Content
An independent overview and compilation of scientific literature within a chosen research field through databases and libraries. The work is carried out guided by a supervisor in close connection with ongoing research or development projects.
To achieve the aims, the student should:
- under supervision delimit a scientific problem, investigate this theoretically through literature searches and present the work orally and in writing
Instruction
The course is given in the form of individual supervision.
Assessment
For a pass mark, a passed written presentation is required by the literature project.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
