Entry requirements

Mathematics, 90 ECTS credits. Knowledge of

topology, functional analysis and integration

theory is not necessary but helps the

understanding of the course.

Aims

The aim of the course is to give knowledge of the basic properties of the distributions as well as to practice problem solving.

Content

Spaces of test functions and the corresponding

concepts of convergence. Distribution spaces and

convergence of distributions. Fourier analysis

of temperate distributions.

Instruction

Lectures and problem solving sessions.

Assessment

Written and usually oral examination at the end

of the course. Moreover, compulsory assignments

may be given during the course.
