Entry requirements
Computer-Assisted Image Analysis MN1 or the equivalent and Mathematical statistics.
Aims
To give a deeper knowledge of theory and methods in image analysis, with an emphasis on the analysis of multidimensional images.
Content
Methods for solving problems in image analysis.
Construction of filters for image enhancement and analysis. Registration of
images, search methods and optimisation. Digital geometry. Colour images and other multidimensional images. Analysis of 3D images
(volume, stereo, and time series). Computer vision.
Instruction
Lectures, laboratory work and compulsory assignments.
Assessment
Written examination at the end of the course.
Passed laboratory course and approved compulsory assignments are also required.
