In this course, the student should get knowledge of
Basic electricity
Electricity hazards and security regulations
Basic measurement techniques and use of measurement devices
Electric engines
Content
Basic theory of direct and alternating current, three-phase circuits and power nets. Electricity hazards and safety regulations. Electric power technology: asynchronous engines, DC-engines. Rectification. Basic measurement techniques and use of measurement devices. jω-method.
Instruction
Seminars, lectures, project exercises and laboratory tutorials.
Assessment
Laboratory test and a theory test at the end of the course.
