The publication, production and distribution of books and journals in print and digital formats by Uppsala University Publications is carried out in a large number of book and journal series affiliated with Uppsala University. Book publications are mainly issued in one of the series that together constitute Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis (AUU), but also through a large number of independent book series.

Publishing platforms for peer-reviewed books
Peer-reviewed books are published on our publishing platform, Uppsala Scholarly Books. Books published on the platform are indexed by major international databases with the aim of increasing the dissemination of peer-reviewed books.
UUP also supports book publishing through Kriterium. Kriterium offers a platform for the review, publication and dissemination of high-quality academic books. The books are published both digitally with open access on Kriterium’s book platform and in print format in collaboration with other publishers. It is possible to combine review and digital publication through Kriterium with a print publication within Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis.

Publication platform for journals
Journal editorial teams affiliated with Uppsala University have the opportunity to publish their journals on Uppsala University Journals, UUP’s platform for journal publishing.
