Molekylära interaktioner, enzymologi och läkemedelsutveckling
Vår forskning fokuserar på att bidra till utvecklingen av säkra och effektiva läkemedel mot sjukdomar som idag saknar behandling. Vanligtvis är vår strategi att identifiera molekyler som binder till enzymer eller jonkanaler och därmed förhindrar kemiska reaktioner eller felaktiga transporter som bidrar till sjukdomen. Dessa studier bidrar även till att ge svar på grundläggande vetenskapliga frågor rörande molekylär igenkänning, med ett starkt fokus på hur snabba interaktioner är och vilka drivkrafterna är.
