About the course
Fungi constitute one of the most species-rich groups of organisms and play a significant role in most ecosystems. Furthermore, they have a large cultural and economic significance, e.g., in food and wine production. Genetic factors and reproductive strategies have resulted in an evolutionary pattern different from that of other organisms, and in this course, we treat their evolution from the vantage point of modern research.
Outline for distance course: The mandatory field course will take place on 16-22 March 2025. Transport is arranged from Uppsala and shared accommodation is included. Teachers and students communicate through Zoom. It is not possible to share content using Linux, and for MacOS X and Windows, a plug-in is required. We use the learning managing system Studium for the course home page.
