Entry requirements: Mechanics II/KF. Participation in Transform Methods, Electromagnetism I, Waves and Optics and Mathematical Methods of Physics that can be taken simultaneously. Knowledge in special relativity (from e.g. participation in Mechanics III or Astrophysics I).

About the course

Introduction to the concepts and methods of modern physics. Fundamental quantum mechanics and the theory of atoms and molecules. A training in experimental techniques and how to interpret observations in terms of quantum physical models, is also given.
