About the course
Our landscape is constantly changing under the influence of natural processes that acts at a large range of rates. Large-scale changes occur when the earth's plates slowly move in relation to each other, collide and disassemble, forming new mountain ranges. Over time, the mountains are chemically and physically degraded by water, gravity and living organisms during constantly changing climatic conditions. In this way, new, smaller landforms such as river valleys, moraine ridges and dunes are formed.
