120 credits with 60 credits in chemistry including 15 credits in organic chemistry. Participation in Spectroscopic Methods for Organic Chemistry, 7.5 credits, or NMR, 5 credits. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.

About the course
The course focuses on topics in organic chemistry related to identification of synthetic routes towards specific target molecules resembling medicinal compounds or intermediates of industrial interest, planning, conduction, evaluation, and documentation of multistep syntheses. Enantioselective synthesis involving chiral substrates and reagents. Asymmetric catalysis using organometallic reactions or enzymes.
