About the course:
This interdisciplinary course focuses on education and learning for Agenda 2030. The course offers competences on learning as an important tool when it comes to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), on education and learning in preschool, school, and in higher education, as well as in society at large.
Education and learning in relation to contemporary local, regional and global complex sustainability challenges is in the centre of the course, which deals with sustainable development as content, as well as sustainability competencies and pedagogic/didactic principles in education and learning for the SDGs. The course offers perspectives on the SDGs as political concepts, as well as on learning theories and practices that underpin the scientific discourse on education and learning for sustainable development.
The course is both theoretical and action-oriented, and fits you who are already working as teachers in preschool, in school or at universities, or you who will do so in the future. It also fits you who, e.g. are project managers in the public or private sector or sustainability manager in a company, and you who are interested in social change for sustainable development.
