About the course
The course provides an overview of ancient Egyptian history from 5000 BC until the country was incorporated into the Roman empire in 30 BC. The course gives a chronological survey of historical processes and treats events between Egypt and its neighbours. The emphasis is on political history and how archaeological and textual sources are used in historical reconstruction.
