Organisation for Campus Gotland
Board, Committee, Adviser and a administrative support are responsible for operations at Campus Gotland.
The Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor has a strategic role conferred on them by the Vice-Chancellor as well as an operative and coordinating role. The task of the Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor for Campus Gotland is to develop, coordinate, make visible and promote the activities of Campus Gotland.
Campus Gotland Board
The role of the Campus Gotland Board is to work on development, coordination and the increased promotion of Campus Gotland’s profile, including the following:
- to support the disciplinary domains and faculties in developing their activities at Campus Gotland and integrating them in the University;
- to propose candidates to the Vice-Chancellor for the appointment of Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Campus Gotland;
- to be responsible for the further profiling of education and research at Campus Gotland and to propose allocation of strategic funding for measures intended to enhance Campus Gotland’s profile;
- to promote coordination of the University’s education and research on Gotland;
- to coordinate and develop the University’s collaboration with regional actors on Gotland;
- to follow up and evaluate the measures implemented to develop and enhance Campus Gotland as a whole.
The Campus Gotland Board comprises the following members (2023-06-07 - 2026-06-30):
- Tora Holmberg, (chair), Professor at the Department of Sociology
- David Black-Schaffer, Professor at the Department of Information Technology
- Daniel Gillberg, Planning director at the Planning Division
- Erik Lindberg, Professor at the Department of History
- Joakim Palme, Professor at the Department of Government
- Anna Singer, Professor at the Department of Law
- Christina Wedén, Lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences
- Sebastian Willman, Associate Professor at the Department of Earth Sciences
Two student members will be nominated by the University’s students. The trade unions have the right to attend and speak at meetings
Gotland Committee
The Gotland Committee consists of members of the academic staff who work at Campus Gotland as well as students.
The Gotland Committee provides advice to the Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Campus Gotland on the following matters:
- measures to promote the development and increased coordination of the University’s education and research on Gotland;
- the University’s collaboration with regional actors on Gotland;
- the development of Campus Gotland’s profile.
The Gotland Committee is also instructed to submit opinions to the University Administration through the Division for Central Services and administration on:
- infrastructure issues such as the physical work environment (teaching premises, laboratories, student and staff spaces, etc.); and
- administrative support to Campus Gotland.
The Gotland Committee comprises the following members (2023-06-07 - 2026-06-30):
- Jakob Berglund Rogert, Lecturer at the Department of Game Design
- Andreas Hedrén, Lecturer at the Department of Informatics and Media
- Stefan Ivanell, Professor at the Department of Earth Sciences
- Ann-Christin Karlsson, Associate Professor at the Department of Public Health and Caring Sciences
- Anna Karlström, Associate Professor at the Department of Art History
- Mia Ljungblom, Lecturer at the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering
- Anna-Carin Nordvall, Associate Professor at the Department of Business Studies
- Gunilla Rosenqvist, Project manager at the Department of Earth Sciences
- Erika Sandström, Associate Professor at the Department of Education
- Andreas Thor, Associate Professor at the Department of Scandinavian Languages
- Three student members will be nominated by the students.

Administrative support at Campus Gotland
Administrative support at Campus Gotland is tended by several divisions of the University adminstration, for example by the Division for central service and administration through the The Unit of Services - Campus Gotland.
The Unit of Services - Campus Gotland is tasked with responsibility for campus management issues, as well as archives and registry at Campus Gotland; undertaking university-wide tasks in study administration, study counselling, support for disabilities, reception desk / Service Center, meeting service, work environment measures and property service. Josefina Ahlvin is head for the Unit of of Services - Campus Gotland.
There is also some coordination between the Unit and other university-wide divisions/units operating at Campus Gotland, in terms of admission, degrees, Ladok, internationalisation, student health, IT / Helpdesk, communication, finances, reports as well as issues regarding support for the adviser to the vice-chancellor and the departments with operations at Campus Gotland.
Malin Dahlén is Head of Division for central service and administration.
