The 2026 Uppsala Africa Days will be jointly hosted by three key institutions of Africa research in Uppsala. These days will offer ample opportunities to learn more about the diverse ongoing research and higher education activities in African settings, and with African research institutes and universities.

The Key Note Address will be delivered by Prof. Divine Fuh, Director the Institute for Humanities in Africa (HUMA) at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, where he is associate professor of social anthropology. Prof. Fuh is co-creator and lead of the Africa Charter for Transformative Research Collaborations, and Vice President of the African Studies Association of Africa (ASAA).
