Forum at Almedalen: knowledge transfer, and capacity building

The Swedish Development Research Network (Swedev) and the GlobeLife Network co-hosted a double panel at the Political Week of Almedalen (Gotland) that brought together researchers from Uppsala University, Karolinska Institutet, Göteborgs universitet, and policy makers from UNICEF, Röda Korsets ungdomsorganisation, Sida - Styrelsen för Internationellt Utvecklingssamarbete, etc.

Uppsala University's Vice-Chancellor Anders Hagfeldt, and Forum Director Sten Hagberg (Cultural Anthropology) participated in a panel that particularly focused on research collaboration with African universities and research institutes. Forum's Board-Member Meena Daivadanam (Women's and Children's Health), and also the GlobeLife coordinator at Uppsala University, was one of the key organizers of the double-panel. Claudia Merli (Cultural Anthropology) was another key actor, who also co-hosted one of the panels. More info here.
