Sahel Symposium

In December 2022, the first Sahel Symposium on Citizen Perspectives in Mali was hosted as a way to increase interest and facilitate collaboration amongst Swedish-based researchers working in West Africa. Detailed programme Pdf, 802 kB. for the symposium.

Between 14 and 15 December 2023, the second Sahel Symposium was jointly organized by Uppsala University's Forum for Africa Studies, and SIPRI's Sahel And West Africa Programme with partners from Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.
