SweDeliver invites to the autumn semester's first webinar where Dávid Juriga, researcher at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, presents his ongoing research with focus on the relationship between the in vitro properties of different subcutaneously administered peptides and their bioavailability and absorption in vivo. We also listen to a presentation of Micro dialysis. Welcome online via Zoom.
Every other Thursday at 12.15 starting 22 August, national competence center SweDeliver conducts webinars where we take part in ongoing research projects as well as presentations of current research techniques.
At the autumn's first webinar, Dávid Juriga, researcher in SweDeliver's work package Parenteral drug delivery, presents his research project with a focus on establishing the correlation between in vitro and in vivo experiments by using subcutaneously administered peptides that are promising in cancer therapy. By understanding the key parameters, the development of the in vitro model system to mimic the complexity of the adipose tissue is also part of the project.
Researcher bio Dávid Juriga earned his PhD in 2016 at Semmelweis Universitet, Budapest. He has since been an Assistant Professor at Semmelweis University’s Department of Biophysics and Radiation Biology and a Guest Researcher at the University of Groningen, before being recruited to SweDeliver and Professor Per Hansson’s group at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry in September 2023.
We also listen to a presentation of Micro dialysis, a technique for measuring extracellular levels of substances in tissues, usually in vivo.
