Description
In this project, we investigate how an advanced digital twin of a building with ongoing collection of large amounts of data and physical building simulation can contribute to more evidence-based requirements for increased sustainability. The digital twin is developed for the Ångström Laboratory campus area at Uppsala University. The project will result in a validated and tested digital twin for the Ångström laboratory, analyses of actual versus planned use of premises and actual energy performance, as well as proposals for how a digital twin of the type developed in the project can be used.
The project is carried out in collaboration between researchers at Uppsala University, the Building Department at Uppsala University, and Akademiska Hus. The hope is that the methodology in the project can be applied to more campus areas in Sweden and serve as a model for setting requirements and follow-up also for properties outside the participating organizations.
