Earlier this autumn, researchers, experts, and practitioners gathered for the C-URGE final event, Time to Talk: Urging Climate Science and Communication, to reflect on how climate research can be communicated effectively in a time of multiple and interconnected crises. The event provided an opportunity to share insights from the C-URGE network and discuss how research and communication can contribute to meaningful climate action.

C-URGE (Anthropology of Global Climate Urgency) is an international doctoral network funded by the European Union's Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks programme under Horizon Europe. Since 2023, it has brought together researchers and doctoral candidates from universities across Europe to explore how people understand and respond to the urgency of climate change from an anthropological perspective.

At Uppsala University, associate professor in Antrhopology Susann Baez Ullberg has been one of the principle investigators. Within the network, she is also supervising two of the departments PhD-students: Matias Menalled and Metztli Hernández Garcia. Read more about their research at C-urge webpage c-urge.eu

The project has resulted in both insightful research and lasting professional connections. We look forward to seeing what grows from these achievements in the years to come.
