We are now offering Lärarlyftet in Home and Consumer Studies starting in autumn 2026
Do you want to strengthen your teaching role, broaden your subject expertise, and gain new inspiration for your teaching? Then Lärarlyftet in Home and Consumer Studies is for you.
We are offering Lärarlyftet in Home and Consumer Studies starting in autumn 2026 and concluding in January 2028.
Home and Consumer Studies is more than a school subject, it is a life skill, where didactics meet everyday life, sustainability, and hands‑on learning. Through Lärarlyftet, you gain tools to create meaningful teaching that provides students with knowledge they will carry with them long after their school years.
In the course, you will:
- Work hands‑on and close to current research as you deepen your subject knowledge, drawing on the latest findings in food, consumption, sustainability, and young people’s everyday lives.
- Take part in inspiring seminars and practical workshops together with other practicing teachers, an opportunity to grow through dialogue and shared experience.
- Explore sustainable development and critical consumption, areas that are more relevant than ever.
- Develop your ability to plan, deliver, and assess teaching in a subject that truly makes a difference and equips students for life.
To be eligible to apply, you must be employed as a teacher and have approval from your school authority. The program is studied at 50% pace over three semesters while you continue working. The application deadline is April 15.
Hope to see you this autumn!
