The higher seminar
The Higher Seminar is the Department of History's general research seminar. Here, the department's doctoral students, researchers and teachers, as well as guests, present their ongoing research, usually through texts made available in advance that other seminar participants are expected to read. Texts are available one week in advance. Very occasionally the seminar is based only on an oral presentation. The seminar is bilingual (English and Swedish) and is led by two of the department's professors.
Anyone interested is welcome to join.
The GaW seminar
The GaW seminar is run by the Gender and Work (GaW) project and meets approximately once a month during term time, often but not always on Thursdays. The seminar format varies and can include discussion of draft texts circulated in advance, discussion of literature as well as oral presentations. The seminar language is Swedish or English. Information about the seminar is posted on the Department of History's website and on Facebook and Instagram.
