The Swedish Cancer Society awards grants to twelve IGP researchers

The Swedish Cancer Society has granted funding of SEK 62 million in total, to 12 IGP researchers.

Ingrid Glimelius has been granted SEK 2 million for five years in the Cancer Society’s call in the area early detection of cancer. The grant will be used to study the risk of a new, secondary malignancy in individuals that have been burdened by a first cancer.

Lena Claesson-Welsh, Magnus Essand, Karin Forsberg Nilsson, Ingrid Glimelius, Ulf Gyllensten, Konstantin Gängel, Åsa Johansson, Masood Kamali-Moghaddam, Veronica Rendo, Gustav Ullenhag and Sanja Vickovic have received two- or three-year grants of between SEK 1.6 and 7.5 million. Daniel Molin has been awarded two planning grants of SEK 175 000 each.

In this call for applications, the Swedish Cancer Society has granted funding of in total SEK 916 million for research projects, early detection studies and planning groups. Researchers at Uppsala University have been awarded SEK 142 million in total.
