More effective treatment method for mantle cell lymphoma

A new treatment option for patients with the complex tumour disease mantle cell lymphoma provides longer time to relapse and fewer side effects. This is shown in a new research study from Lund and Uppsala Universities. The results are so promising that the new treatment option has already been implemented in the recently published guidelines from the European Society for Medical Oncology.

Patients from 66 university hospitals in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark participated in the international multi-centre study ENRICH. The Nordic part of the study was led by Ingrid Glimelius from IGP and Mats Jerkeman from Lund University.
