Meeting of the Class for Physics in the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences at the Ångström Laboratory

On February 24-25, 2026 the class for physics in the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences held one of their gatherings at the Ångström Laboratory.

Around 30 members of the class for physics in the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences met at one of their work meetings at the Ångström Laboratory during Tuesday, February 24 and Wednesday, February 25. The class for physics is one of the ten scientific classes in the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

The meeting ended with a guided tour of the Ångström Laboratory, where they first received a guided tour of the RICH mirrors by Olga Botner, Senior Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy and academician.

Thereafter, the participants were arranged in two groups and received a guided tour of the Tandem Laboratory by Daniel Primetzhofer, Director at the Tandem Laboratory and Professor at the Division for Material Physics, and of the FREIA Laboratory by Maja Olvegård, Division Head and Researcher at FREIA, Hermann Dürr, Professor at FREIA and Marek Jacewicz, Senior Staff Scientist at FREIA.
