Questions about study plans
Is it possible to attend remotely?
No, it is not. All teaching takes place on campus. The exception is placement in the fifth semester within the social work programme, which can take place in another location by agreement.
How is the education organised on campus and are you there every day?
The studies are conducted on campus, and the number of meetings is shown in the schedule for each course. On average, there are lectures or seminars about three times a week, which corresponds to about six-eight hours of teacher-led teaching per week; the rest of the study time consists of group work, seminars, your own reading and more.
Questions about student finance
I want to book a meeting; how do I do it?
You can either call or email the study advisors to schedule a meeting. You can find contact details on the department’s website, study guidance.
What can I, with a disability, do to get support?
If you have a permanent disability that becomes an obstacle in your studies, you can receive support during your study time at the university. Remember to apply for pedagogical support in good time, preferably when you apply for a course at Uppsala University. Here is more information:
There are coordinators who work with targeted pedagogical support for students and doctoral students with disabilities, both in Uppsala and on Gotland. When you have received a decision on adaptation, you can contact the department’s study guidance.
