Subject areas and entry requirements
The criteria for entry to the programme are to fulfill the general as well as the specific requirements.
A selection will be made from among the eligible applicants. The selection procedure will take account of your ability to benefit from the PhD study programme, by assessing: documented knowledge of a relevant subject for the chosen area of research, other analytical skills attested by degree projects and papers as well as a project plan other documented knowledge that may be significant for PhD studies.
Subject areas
Since the beginning of 2021 there are seven PhD subject areas in theology and religious studies.

Selection process
Admission is based on a selection of eligible applicants. The selection process will take into account your ability to benefit from the program through an assessment of:
- documented subject knowledge relevant to the research area
- other analytical skills demonstrated by theses and dissertations and a project plan
- other documented knowledge that may be relevant to a doctoral program.
