Solar Electricity Research Centre (SOLVE)
The Solar Electricity Research Centre Sweden (SOLVE) is an excellence center that aims to increase the use of solar power, primarily in Sweden, by performing research and promoting sustainable solutions intergrated in buildings, on land and in the energy system.
Through strong partnerships between researchers and other actors in the sector, the Centre will support growth of PV markets in Sweden and disseminate knowledge based on research within the network. Education resulting in skilled engineers and PhDs with strong industry contacts is a priority to to ensure sustainable growth in the solar sector.
SOLVE is a collaboration between five Swedish universities and one institute and nearly 50 public/private organisations that are stakeholders in the development of solar electricity in Sweden and Northern Europe.
