National competence centres

Vinnova, the Swedish Energy Agency and the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research fund several national competence centers where universities, colleges, research institutes, companies, and public actors collaborate closely to conduct research in areas crucial for Sweden's competitiveness. The following competence centres are led from Uppsala University.
