Swedish Drug Delivery Centre (SweDeliver)

The Swedish Drug Delivery Centre (SweDeliver) is a competence center that strives to enhance the effectiveness, safety, and convenience of drug treatments, minimizing side effects and improving the quality of life for patients. The research is carried out through interdisciplinary collaboration between Uppsala University's Faculty of Pharmacy and 18 corporate partners, contributing expertise, infrastructure, and industrial perspectives to address current challenges.

SweDeliver focuses on developing new methods to improve the transport of drug molecules within the body, ensuring their targeted delivery. This can occur through pulmonary routes (inhalation), subcutaneous or intravenous injections (parenteral), or in the form of oral tablets.

In addition, SweDeliver is committed to preparing junior researchers at the center for future leadership roles in Swedish pharmaceutical research.
