Research publications
At the end of year 2025 there were 251 published scientific articles from studies that have used samples, data or other resources from U-CAN. New articles are reported to U-CAN by the respective researchers on annual basis.

Applications to use samples and data for research
U-CAN handles 2-3 applications for access to samples and data from the cohort per month. At the end of 2025, U-CAN had approved 253 applications for research material.
Inclusion of research participants in U-CAN
At the end of 2025, there were 31 175 individuals that had consented to inclusion in U-CAN at one of the participating hospitals in Uppsala, Umeå, Falun, Karlstad, Gävle, Västerås or Eskilstuna.
