For the Young - Together with the Young
At UPIC, we believe it's essential for young people to be involved in research about their mental health. This means not just researching about them but also together with them. Therefore, we actively collaborate with young people to co-create the research.
Young People Are Part of UPIC
Currently, UPIC includes two young women, Ellen Nilses (22 years old) and Lisa Eriksson (24 years old). Ellen and Lisa participate in research group meetings and work meetings, contributing to discussions and decisions about how the research should be conducted.
Youth from All Over Sweden Can Be Involved
We work together with young people from all over Sweden with different backgrounds and experiences. This work is conducted through online workshops. In 2023, we primarily focused on developing graphics and functionality for UPIC’s mobile app. Young people also gave their opinions on the app’s content and the style of advertisements for studies. We continue to work with a group of young people on various parts of our projects, meeting 5-6 times a year.
If you are interested in being part of UPIC's work, please contact us at upic@uu.se.
The only criteria for participation are that you are:
- between 15-29 years old
- proficient in everyday Swedish
