    The 13th Hallym-Uppsala Symposium and inauguration of antibiotic centre in Korea
    Since 2005, the Faculty of Medicine has collaborated closely with Hallym University Medical Center in Seoul. In 2008, the two institutions held their first joint scientific symposium, which has since become an annual event, alternating between Seoul and Uppsala.

  • Vision:Medfarm: Time for pedagogy
    Time for the next step. Just over 10 years ago, Uppsala University introduced the possibility to appoint Distinguished University Teachers. In the first year, 2013, the Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy appointed eight. Since then, we have had about 3–4 new distinguished university teachers per year.

    Accreditation of Uppsala Comprehensive Cancer Centre
    Uppsala Comprehensive Cancer Centre was created to improve the care of cancer patients and to link cancer care and research. In autumn 2024, the centre will undergo a process to be accredited according to European standards and on 15–16 October, international reviewers will visit Uppsala to see if the centre meets the requirements.

    Frida Ahlstrand from Uppsala selected in tough competion for summer school in Paris
    The Faculty of Medicine at Uppsala University is a partner of the VASCERN Summer School in Paris, which is a summer school on rare cardiovascular diseases. It was held for the first time this year, and Frida Ahlstrand from the Master’s Programme in Precision Medicine at Uppsala University succeeded in securing one of the places.
