This years Celsius-lecturer is Francesco Calegari, University of Chicago. His lecture title is "Two and a Half Millennia of Irrationality in Mathematics". This years Linnaeus-lecturer is Andrea Rinaldo, EPFL and Università di Padova. His lecture title is "Reflected in Water - Development, Resilience, Inequalities". After each lecture, a symposium will be organized with a concluding panel discussion. Warm welcome!
Each year the Faculty of Science and Technology arranges the Celsius-Linnaeus honorary lectures in memory of Anders Celsius and Carl von Linné. The selected Celsius- and Linnaeus-lecturers are at today's forefront within their field. The Celsius-Linnaeus lecturers are selected by the Celsius-Linnaeus Committee. The committee also selects four symposie-lecturers, two national and two from Uppsala University.
