Admission and registration

Read the below information carefully. It explains how to keep your place on the course or programme to which you have been admitted.

Please note that if you have been admitted in the international admission round to the Master's Programme in Human-Computer Interaction or the Master's Programme in Information Systems, you cannot register online in Ladok. You must instead register in person by visiting the study counsellor at the Department at the Ekonomikum campus in Uppsala at the end of August. For more detailed information, please see the email sent by the Department or contact the Department’s study counsellor.

Students who do not register in person by 1 September may lose their place on the programme.

You must apply for the courses you intend to study next semester, regardless of whether you are studying independent courses or are a student at one of our study programmes. Apply on universityadmissions.se. Programme students find application instructions on the programme page in Studium.

To keep your place, you must register for your courses in the upcoming semester. Please note that the registration period may vary between different courses and departments. Registration closes before the start of term for most courses. It is your responsibility to check what applies to you. Register for your courses in Ladok, where you can also see the exact registration dates. We recommend registering as early as possible.

If you are conditionally admitted to your courses or programme, you must contact the department no later than the registration deadline to confirm that you want to keep your place. We will then reserve your place until you can prove that you meet the entry requirements, but no later than the start of the course.

Students on the waiting list who are offered a place after the second selection round will receive a time-limited offer by email (to the email address you provided to antagning.se or universityadmissions.se). Remember to also check your spam folder.

If you have accepted your place but are no longer interested in it, it is important to let us know you won't be attending the course or programme. If you haven’t yet registered and do not wish to keep your place, please decline your offer on universityadmissions.se.

If you have already registered for the course but decide to not attend, please contact the Department as soon as possible.

Course information

Once you have registered, you will find all course information – information about course start, schedule, course literature and contact information for the course coordinator – on the course page for each course in the learning platform Studium.

Contact information

If you are conditionally admitted, experience any problems, or have questions about your registration, please contact the Department no later than the registration deadline.
