Degree project
When you're in the later stage of a programme, you will do a degree project. This is an independent project where previous knowledge from your entire education is applied. The course prepares you to work in a scientific manner and mediates connection to both research and working life.
The project can be carried out at a company, governmental agency or university department. To support you in your project you have a supervisor and a subject reviewer. As a student, you are primarily responsible for finding a suitable project.
Some opportunities for degree projects are advertised at employers, research departments and research groups' websites. But it's also a good idea to look in the university job database, UU CareerGate, where departments, companies and governmental agencies can advertise.
