About the course
The two-body problem. Computation of orbital elements from observational data. Calculation of position coordinates from orbital elements. Orbital perturbations and Lagrange's planetary equations. The many-body problem and numerical orbital computations using professional software. Basic satellite and rocket dynamics. The importance of celestial mechanics for the understanding of the development of the solar system.
