60 credits in science/engineering. Introduction to Biomedical Engineering. Human-Computer Interaction. Scientific Computing. Computer Programming. At least 2 credits from each of the courses Regulatory Systems, Patient Safety and Ethics and Biomedical Sensor Technology.

Within modern healthcare, information technology is used to solve a variety of problems, e.g., electronic patient records for documentation of health and treatment of patients, support systems for interpretation of X-ray images, and robot surgery.

In this course, you will get a broad overview of applications of IT in healthcare and the opportunity to delve deeper into a chosen application area.
