About the course

The course introduces concepts and methods of multivariable robust control and provides you with controller design tools that are state-of-the-art in industry. A prerequisite for this course is Automatic Control II or a corresponding one covering linear-quadratic optimal control and the Kalman Filter. Besides linear multivariable control, topics in nonlinear systems and open-loop optimal control are included. The course includes ten lectures, eight problem-solving sessions, and one computer lab. To pass the course, you must complete three homework assignments in group, followed by individual oral examination. Optional written exam has to be taken for a higher grade.
