About the course
The course combines theoretical lectures and practical exercises inspired by industrial and logistic systems. The topics covered include mathematical modelling of logistics and production systems. Additionally, it focuses on how to develop simulation models and analyse various types of logistic and production systems, e.g. functional workshops, flow lines, assembly lines, batch control, pull control and aggregated supply chains. The course includes system optimisation where the Pareto front between optimisation objectives is analysed using metaheuristic algorithms.
