About the course
There were numerous ways for people to make a living in Early Modern northern Europe. In this course, you will get acquainted with these various ways, and learn how varying institutional solutions affected people's chances of survival and their quality of life. This includes working life, poor relief systems, property law, et cetera. Throughout the course, attention will be paid to class and gender aspects.
