Textile Studies
Textile studies include the study of textile materials, tools and manufacturing processes, and users and manufacturers of textiles, in both historical and contemporary contexts. In Textile studies, personal knowledge and experience in craftsmanship are seen as important tools for understanding textile materials, techniques and manufacturing processes. This includes knowledge of textile fibres, dyeing, weaving, embroidery, textile tools, textile production, and the use and care of textiles and costumes.
