Learning outcomes
The course presents the basic tools and mathematical techniques used in the analysis of continuous and discrete signals and systems and the interactions between the signals and systems.
Content
Fourier, Laplace and z-transforms. Description of continuous and discrete signals and systems. The sampling theorem. The concept of poles, zeros and magnitude surfaces. Stability and causality. Analysis and synthesis of analogue and digital filters. Auto and cross correlation, matched filters. Applications.

Lectures, lessons and exercises.
Assessment
Written and/or oral examination at the end of the course. Passed exercises is also required.
