Entry requirements
A Bachelor's degree of 180 Swedish credits in either engineering, natural or social science.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the students will be able to:
- account for the basic structure and contents of a postgraduate thesis
- perform a literature review and formulate research questions based on the literature review
- summarise and critically reflect upon research findings and methodologies
- show the capacity to present in a concise and clear way findings within wind power resulting from an individual work
Content
Quantitative and Qualitative research methods, statistical analysis, data collection and experimental design
Steps of academic reasoning and structure of a scientific document and postgraduate thesis (Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature review, Methodology, Case-Study, Results presentation, Sensitivity analysis, Discussion, Conclusions, References, Appendices)
Instruction
Lectures, seminars, and group work.
Assessment
The course examination includes individual and group reports and assignments, 5 credits.
