Entry requirements
120 credits in science/engineering. Industrial Project Management or Industrial Management.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- explain and apply knowledge about creativity for innovative organisational processes that underpin entrepreneurial initativesvwith the help of the Business Model Canvas method create a hypothetical technology-based entrepreneurship commercialisation,
- apply various theoretical conceptualizations to analyse various forms of entrepreneurship such as academic entrepreneurship, technology-based entrepreneurship and alternative forms of entrepreneurship
- critically reflect on the norms that make up the dominant version of entrepreneurship,
- explain how entrepreneurship research relates to popular cultural descriptions of entrepreneurship as well as entrepreneurship as an internship.
Content
Basic knowledg about creativity and the application of creative methods that stimulate innovative organisational processes within entrepreneurial initiatives. Theoretical conceptualization of various forms of entrepreneurship. Analysis of business opportunities as well as start-up and operation of entrepreneurial processes based on new technical knowledge and new technical capabilities. Description of the relationship between research on entrepreneurship and commercialization processes in practice.
Instruction
Lectures, guest lectures, seminars, case study and project work.
Assessment
Active participation, i.e. oral presentation and written essay at seminars (3 credits), as well as written and oral presentation of a group project (2 credits).
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
