Entry requirements
A Bachelor's degree and, in addition at least 30 credits in applied biotechnology at Master's level, including Trends in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6. Admission requires a project plan accepted by the department.
Learning outcomes
The general aim of the course is or students to acquire programme relevant working experience.
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- carefully and systematically plan, carry out and document experimental work within a research or development project
- independently search, evaluate and compile relevant theoretical information that is required for the practical training
- in English, in a written report and oral presentation, correctly summarise and formulate personal conclusions based on results from the implemented project.
Content
The student participates in regular activities within industry, public administration or academic research. The student should under supervision or independently participate in work relevant to the subject.
Instruction
The student is given private tuition at the working place
Assessment
Written and oral presentation of the work training period.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.

The course cannot be included in the degree together with 1BG800, 1BG801, 1BG363, 1BG364 or 1BG365.
