About the course

The course gives an overview of different concepts relating to chemical bonding and intermolecular interactions and how different molecular properties depend on these. The course also gives an overview of the most important computational methods used to study structure, bonding and dynamics at a molecular level in Chemistry (quantum-mechanical calculations, force-field calculations, Monte Carlo and molecular dynamics simulations). The advantages and disadvantages of different methods will be discussed. Computer exercises constitute an important part of the course.
