120 credits including 60 credits in science/engineering, whereof 20 credits in mathematics, and one of the courses Automatic Control I or Introduction to Computer Control Systems. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.

About the course
The main goal of the course is to introduce the students to safety and security aspects of modern control systems arising due to their digital and networked implementation. The main course body consists of basic concepts, approaches to and methods of modelling, analysis, and detection of faults and attacks in control systems.
Safety and security in networked control systems. Control performance monitoring and control under fault. Fault detection and isolation. Cyber-attacks and security mechanisms in control systems.
